Still seeing indentations after fractional laser?

We assess what is keeping the scar depressed before deciding on the next procedure. A surface-texture concern and a tethered depression may need different approaches. Tell us which laser or other scar procedures you have tried, when you received them and what improved or remained.

At our clinic, the consultation considers the scar floor, its edges, its depth, tethering and surrounding skin. Saesalchim and options such as fractional laser or pinhole treatment are planned according to those findings. The aim is to choose the role and order of each procedure, rather than treating every depression with the same method.

How Saesalchim relates to subcision

Some depressed scars are tethered by fibrous tissue beneath the skin. Subcision addresses this tethering, with healing and remodelling taking place afterwards. We use the term Saesalchim (Subcision Ax) for our scar treatment approach; the exact plan is discussed after examination.

Our director’s treatment record: five Saesalchim sessions and two fractional-laser sessions

Our director’s own acne-scar treatment course was published on 28 September 2026 with before-and-after photographs of the cheeks and temples.

Treatment recorded: five Saesalchim sessions plus two fractional-laser sessions over approximately two years. The long period reflected his visit schedule as well as recovery between treatments.

What the record shows: longstanding depressed scars, comparison photographs and his personal experience of bruising and redness. The article describes improvement while acknowledging remaining scars and plans to continue treatment.

This is the director’s individual course with combined procedures; it does not show the effect of Saesalchim alone.

How many visits, and can I work afterwards?

Scar care is usually a course of treatment. In our clinical guidance, we discuss at least five sessions in many cases, with ten, twenty or more considered according to the extent of the scars and response. We review progress during the course rather than promising completion in a fixed number of visits.

Some people are comfortable returning to work with visible bruising, redness or swelling; others prefer to leave more time. Because scar treatment is repeated, taking several days away from work after every session is not practical for many patients. Some work while the marks settle, or use a dressing for a few days when advised.

Visible recovery can take longer than the time needed to resume everyday activities. Bruising and redness may last one to four weeks or longer. Tell us about important events, filming or travel before planning treatment. A short visit to Korea should be planned as part of an ongoing course, not as a promise of complete scar correction in one trip.

The clinic’s original scar-care resources

Visiting from Dongdaemun, Jegi-dong, Jongno or Seongsu

Our clinic is in Yongdu-dong, Dongdaemun-gu, at 3F, 406 Gosanja-ro, Seoul. Yongdu Station Exit 2 is approximately a three-minute walk away. Use the clinic address as your destination; Dongdaemun Design Plaza and Dongdaemun-gu are different locations.

If you are staying in Jongno, visiting Jegi-dong or coming from Seongsu, check the route from your actual starting point before booking. Yongdu is on the Line 2 branch between Seongsu and Sinseol-dong. Allow time for the consultation as well as the procedure; a large treatment area needs an appointment of the right length.
